Going with the "it never hurts to ask" and "miracles can and do happen" I am suggesting these two games. Both originally released on Wii. Rune Factory Tides of Destiny released on Wii as well as PS3 in America. Namco Bandai did confirm it was possible (although difficult) to port the PS3 extras back onto the original Wii version.

I find that kind of thinking flawed. WiiU is getting released this year but why should that make a difference? Not everyone will instantly buy newer consoles. Sometimes games from previous gen console can help sell newer console. If new consoles means we have to stop localising games from the previous gen consoles there should be no new DS games coming out and we shouldn't release PS3 or Xbox360 games because there will be newer consoles sooner or later.

I do appreciate they are releasing RF Tides of Destiny. At same time it's very frustrating having to wait and be told those who own a PS3 and may have already imported the game will get chance to buy and play EU version meanwhile those who own Wii in EU won't have the ability to play the game at all.

PS: Before someone says it's because 3DS is a new console that kind of logic doesn't work on unreleased consoles.

Well it seems weird because there releasing a Wii game in 2012 and then they'll not bother doing the Wii version of RFO seems a strange choice if they had a choice.

Nintendo are still releasing Last Story and Pandora's Tower is still to come later in 2012 so there is still sales to be had on the Wii and really the WiiU is backwards compatible so really it doesn't even matter if that is on the horizon.

Is the same reason why Atlus are still willing to release PSP games even as late as June (Gungrir) and July (Growlanser IV) this year because they know anyone with a Vita can still play them on the Vita through downloads.

I guess but I don't think it will make any difference. The decision not to release the Wii version of RF Oceans in EU was probably made at Marvelous AQL's end and not something RSG had any real say in. And as for Graces Wii the ship has sailed on that one loooooong ago. If they were going to release it at all it would have happened in 2010 not now.

Probably. However I feel so long as there is interest in it happening there is a chance it might. That and it's better then just moaning it's not happening. At least doing something about it then just letting things be.

Even if it is the Japanese companies that decided it I can always send it to them. They have email and stuff like that too.

If RF Tides of Destiny is getting ported to WiiU it does make sense not to release on Wii. Same with Tales of Graces F. I doubt RSG could announce something like that right now. I can imagine Nintendo of Europe would announce it as part of games releasing on WIiU this and possibly early next year. I really don't think that will be the case though.

RSG could probably release games sooner but it would be more expensive that way. Cost of voice actors and stuff like that would make it more expensive.
