Apparently, it is quite possible that Aksys will take care of the US localisation of the 3DS version of the sequel.

Since the 3DS is region locked, importing the US cart will not circumvent the lack of European/Australian release this time. Therefore, PAL gamers out there will need a domestic release, and I think that even if the game is not translated into French, German, Spanish and Italian (Because the script is really huge), at least an English version that therefore plays on any European/Australian console would be nice.

I really hope this does see a European release because 999 is currently my most played game on my 3DS having imported it last year. It has a really interesting, branching story, but I can't really explain why without spoiling it.

I really hope I can play this semi-sequel!
