Little King's Story

Little King's Story begins with the story of a young boy named Corobo. Shy and without many friends, Corobo stumbles upon a mysterious and powerful crown whilst walking in the forest near his village. He soon discovers that the crown grants him the ability to charm any person and make them follow his orders. Suddenly, Howzer, the bull-knight appears informing Corobo that he is now King of the village and that he must not take this responsibility lightly. Returning to his sleepy village as a King instead of a shy little boy, Corobo begins a quest to turn his small hamlet into a noble, fantastic kingdom.

Little King's Story is the result of the combined heavyweight development team from some of Japan's most successful titles and features key contributors from the Harvest Moon series, Final Fantasy XII, DragonQuest VIII, Mario & Luigi RPG, Kingdom Hearts and Chulip.

You can buy Little King's Story from all good stores, including Amazon, Game, and Gamestation.

This title is by far the best game I have played on the Nintendo Wii in a long time. Completely hooked and enjoying every second.

An absolutely addicting, charming and entertaining game! Whoever likes simulations like "The Settlers", "Harvest Moon" or "Animal Crossing" will surely love this game. Even RPG fans will have a lot of fun with "Little King's Story"!

Little King's Story is a very charming tale about Corobo Bred and him becoming king. The storyline and very straightforward which makes the game easier to understand.

The innovation of the game is great and you can see some good potential in this game and so this is why this game is absolutely brilliant charming. This game is well layed out, good enemies and this is just basically like a Pikmin game where you throw your people to fight the enimies.

The only bad thing about this game is the fact that you can frustrated and really annoyed when you have to keep coming back and forthfrom your kingdom just to get a certain type of job class which will help you get through to the next part. The game also gets a little repetitive but it is still a fantastic title.

The reason why I think this game is so charming is because it was devoped and published by the people who created the Harvest Moon and Final Fantasy games which makes a nice twist to gaming.

Anyone who doesn't have this game right now must get it because to me this game is essential! This game will have you playing your Wii for days!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Little King's Story is an incredible videogame with so much charm to it that I was afraid I might bust up with happiness!

You are King Corobo off to expanding your Kingdom, or as Howser (your trusty bull knight) later puts it "WORLD DOMINATION!". I must truly applaud Rising Star for this game's art style - it is magnificent. Reminds me of the old, badly animated, cartoons of Asterix & Oblix! I love the design of practically everything and cannot wait for what Rising Star plans to do next with the series.

I feel very lucky to own it and can honestly say that it is the best game I have played in a LONG time. It reminds me of why I love gaming in the first place!

An utter glorious gem. Not to be missed! BUY IT NOW! 10/10

One of the finest traditional games on the Wii. Up there with Nintendo's best. An utterly charming and wonderfully delightful adventure.

Before I start this review I would just like to say a big thank you to NGamer Magazine for their great Nintendo mag and if it wasn't for them then I would of never have gotten some of the great games I have today.

So, Little King's Story puts you in charge of a small, poor kingdom in the shoes of the King (a young boy). The plot isn't really revealed until you get a bit into the game but your main task is to basically take over the world by defeating six other kingdoms by defeating their king.

The game reminds me of Pikmin but in an interview with the producer of LKS (Yasuhiro Wada) found in issue #43 of ONM he says:

"I think my original idea was more inspired by Sim City or Age of Empire. Pikmin is a great game and made the real time strategy genre understandable and appoachable for consumers. I love it but, to be honest, I don't think it was in my thoughts".

The character design is charming and cute and the overall graphics on the game are great. Another great thing about the game are the battles, mainly the boss fights. They work so well and with every new enemy their technique changes. Leaving you to figure out thier weaknesses. Whether that means what citizen of your kingdom you should send into battle (guard, lumberjack, farmer etc.) or knowing when to retreat at the right time the game does give you alot of replay value and challenge. You can choose from either easy, normal or hard in the settings menu.

In conclusion, Little King's Story is a great game and definately one fo the best Wii titles out there, so if you liked other games like Pikmin, Age of Empires or Sim City, this is definately the game for you.

I love this game - it's beautifully designed, has a great atmosphere, is well-written (and translated well) and, in a rare occurrence, takes something Nintendo did well (Pikmin) and makes it even better. One of the finest games on Wii and a game I'll never part with.

I am really saddened that not many gave this game a chance right away. You would think that Zack & Wiki would have thought people that players should not be fooled by the "kiddy" aesthetics. Overall, LKS is one of the best games on the wii. period. it's entertaining, engaging, hard, stimulating, funny as hell => yes, i'm the one who kept on posting stuff on gonintendo pointing out the the sexual innuendos within the games as well as the "not so kiddy" concepts such as polygamy, the fact that you are actually the bad guy taking over innocent cute creatures in their habitat and their land... but I guess in the gaming world that's becoming normal (see MH3) and LKS is an adult game camouflaged within a kiddy aesthetic. This is a must buy for anyone that likes a QUALITY game and I dearly hope that a sequel will come out and they will still give a chance to this franchise. Oh and some people complained for the lack of a pointer... after a few experiments I realized it would be too much going on and less fun and the controls are good the way they are

This game is one of the best games I have ever played (seriously, AWESOME game!). The one thing that does dissapoint me though, is the ending, when you complete the game, you go back to before you completed it as if nothing ever happened. I think its lazy :( anyway, 5/5 nonetheless ;)
