SILENT, a fearful mind parasite, is spreading in Kisaragi City. It infects humans and takes control of their minds, pushing them to kill. Atsuki is a member of FORT, a secret organisation devoted to eradicating this parasite. Will you be able to find the original SILENT and exterminate this threat forever?
You can buy Lux Pain from all good stores including Amazon, Game, and Gamestation.

The game itself is brilliant, and the story is well made, there are several spelling mistakes within the text and some grammer mistakes which I've noticed but don't let that deter you from playing it.
It's like living in an anime at most points, which I personally enjoy most, the silent are at levels which are different some easy when you get used to it and others incredibly difficult if you don't pay attention.
Well I'd reveiw more but I'm going off to play it some more. ^^

Lux-Pain got some flack for its translation issues, so let me get those criticisms out of the way first - yes, the dialogue can be a bit wonky, and sometimes sentences don't really make sense. The voice acting in the game also differs from the text a lot too, which can be offputting, but at least both voice and text get the same point across. So yes, the localisation could have been a bit better, but that doesn't stop Lux-Pain from being a really absorbing game.
It's like an interactive novel, really, following the plot as well as the characters as everything develops. The story itself is powerful stuff, all about tackling a parasite called Silent, one that ravages the mind and can drive its victims to the brink of insanity. What is really good about the game is that the victims are people who you develop relationships with over the course of the story, new friends you try to save from the darkness.
There is some voice acting sprinkled throughout the game, and all of it is really well done. Hearing the characters speak helps you see them as more human, people who you really do want to protect. You can also unlock scenes throughout the game that you can watch in the Archive; these are funny little asides that follow your new friends as they go out around the town with you. These don't add to the plot, but are fun to watch and see how your friendships are progressing. The music is also good, with some appropriately eerie pieces accompanying the eerie nature of the main game. The story unfolds slowly, building up the tension to an unexpected climax in the end (I really didn't anticipate what I saw!). Not to mention there are multiple endings, so there's definitely some replay value if you're the kind who likes to see all the outcomes.
It's a powerful story combining dark themes and shocking twists which, despite some confusing aspects of the plot and a slightly wonky translation, is well worth a shot. I highly recommend it.
Use your psychic powers to find the parasites contaminating the souls of Kisaragi City before it's too late...
