Once you get to a specific point in the game, the ability to battle your friends (or foes!) over Nintendo DS Wireless Download Play or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection becomes available. You can play other players using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection when in a Wi-Fi enabled environment.

Friends Only
People you have played with before and people who you have traded Friend Codes with will be added to your Friend Roster. This option will limit the Wi-Fi games to only play against people who are already on your Friend Roster. You cannot earn items by using the “Battle With Friends” option.

Play With Anyone
You will be able to play against anyone who is available using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection system. You will earn items after battles using this option. The number and rarity of the items you earn depends on the result of the battle.

Level Matching
When “Play With Anyone” is selected at the Wi-Fi menu, the game will match players up by automatically comparing the average levels of the units in the save data that players have selected to battle with.

1. Average level is within ±5
2. Average level is within ±10
3. Average level is within ±15
4. No Limit Matching

The game will look for available players in the order above. If no players are found in the first level bracket, the next level range is searched.
