If you’ve been waiting to jump into the fastest 3D platformer in the world it’s about time you put your rocket-powered skates on and head down to your favourite virtual storefront, Steam. Cel-shaded, freerunner Cloudbuilt is on special promotion for a limited time only for less than half price and there’s never been a better time give Cloudbuilt a blast! Need another reason? Here’s three.
Since release Cloudbuilt has benefited from a number of updates, both fine tuning the game and adding new features. Here are the most recent additions that are freely available to new and existing Cloudbuilt players.
We’ve all had that feeling where we are stuck and would love to put down a checkpoint somewhere that is convenient to us – now you can. Coilworks have developed a system that makes Cloudbuilt more accessible to the casual player by allowing them to drop their own checkpoint. It’s a great feature that helps newcomers complete levels for the first time and the more experienced players by providing an efficient way to test alternative paths at any point in the level.
Everyone loves customization, right?! Unlockable skins are now available for Demi which are awarded for completing specific achievements which can be viewed on the selection screen. With 21 new skins, there’s plenty to choose from and a lot to play for. Many of the skins will take skill and determination to unlock which makes it all the sweeter to wear them.
In addition to the 22 original stages, Coilworks have added 2 shiny new remix levels which contain a selection of the most interesting sequences presented in a unique theme exclusive to these stages. Of course, competition will be fierce to crown the king of the leaderboards so keep an eye out. For the rest us mere mortals, it’s awesome to have an even bigger selection of intricate levels to explore and conquer.
There you have it, three more reasons to take advantage of Cloudbuilt’s half price sale this weekend! A big thank you to Coilworks for continuing to bring awesome content to Cloudbuilt and we can’t to see what’s next.
